Pittsburgh Sports Media: Shut up about Mike Tomlin being black. Everyone knows he's black and no one cares. You're only pretending it's an issue because you can't find the answer to the question everyone's really asking: Is he actually planning an eventual and obviously insane switch to a 4-3 defense?

Battlestar Galactica Writers: End the lame boring love-square soap opera plot before i start looking for more eyes to gouge out.

Smithsonian Global Sound: Rock on.

Sculpey: What's the deal with not packaging black Sculpey III in 1.75lb. boxes? That'd be really handy.

Huh. Without actually wanting any more details, I guess I can say I'm not upset I dropped BSG from the viewing list post-season 2.

So, thanks for justifying that :)

Well, it's still a good show. Just needs a course correction. Soon. The first three episodes of this season are very much worth watching.

I was pretty happy to hear LeBeau was staying but I started to wonder if we were only a few draft-picks away from moving to a crazy world of 4-3 cover-2.

I'm hoping the retention of LeBeau means the Rooneys made Tomlin sign a pact in blood renouncing that sort of madness.

Once he meets Ike Taylor and Casey Hampton, he pretty much ought to know what time it is.

Good call on SGS. One of my favorite recordings is only available through them, and I've gotten a bunch of other cool stuff, too.

Yes. Who would have guessed what awesome music they have in Kyrgyzstan? Or that there was a whole library of proto-Hedningarna songs for just $9.99?

Yeah. not to mention sea porn!

Wow. Good Ship Venus? Backside Rules? Keyhole in the Door?

good roadtrip music, I bet.

Did BSG jump the shark?

I found the second season of BSG quite compelling and interesting, but the third season has led me to essentially write off the show. First, the whole "One year later" and occupation bullcrap was some really lousy writing that the show hasn't recovered from (Essentially they did the opposite of a deus ex machina, where they invented a ridiculous and unconvincing plot change to tangle things up rather than untangle them) . Second, I just couldn't take the soap opera plots that apparently have taken over. After the retarded boxing match, I was wondering if maybe the next episode would be about how Admiral Odama is having some Cylon's baby. Sigh . . .

Maybe the show can still improve from an incredibly bad third season, but I doubt I'm going to watch it anymore to find out.

Re: Did BSG jump the shark?

I don't think it's quite so bad...the resolution to the one-year-later affair was, I thought, a spectacular and entertaining backflip over the previously jumped, rather large shark. And there's still stuff going on that I find interesting and entertaining...it's just not getting enough screen time due to the soap opera.
